PRICING/LICENCES
Please note that prices shown on this website are for Educational Single-Site use
(detailed below) and are applicable to orders from U.K./R.O.I. educational establishments
only. Prices are exclusive of Shipping/Despatch charges and VAT and, whilst we will endeavour
to maintain for as long as possible, are subject to change without further notice.
The price of a product from Viewtech Educational Media includes limited Public Performance Rights
and entitles the purchaser to certain benefits of usage of the programme material contained on
the tape or disk. The purchase price therefore covers not only the cost of the physical
'carrier' (tape or disk), but also a 'licence' to use the programme by a particular
customer type (either 'Educational', 'Professional' or 'Business' - our definitions apply)
at one or a number of sites. Therefore, in order to price fairly and accurately for all
customers, Viewtech has available several types of licence to reflect these varied scenarios,
and will apply the licence/pricing relevant to each particular customer type and intended
usage at the time of ordering.
As a brief guide, types of Public Performance Licence available to U.K./R.O.I. customers include:-
• SINGLE-SITE LICENCE (either 'Educational' or 'Professional' depending upon establishment type)
Applies to purchases where the tape or disk is to be used within a single site by the purchaser only, and
not loaned, hired or shown to any other party outside of that single site except in the private
house of any individual in the employ of the purchaser and based at the site.
• MULTI-SITE LICENCE (either 'Educational' or 'Professional' depending upon establishment type)
Applies to purchases where the tape or disk is to be used at multiple sites operated by the purchaser and/or loaned or hired to other users. This licence also allows viewing in the private house of any individual in the employ of, or otherwise authorised by, the purchaser.
There is also a special licence available for business training purposes, and a 'general educational' (EGS) licence applicable to products supplied to U.K.-based trade customers and direct to overseas purchasers.
DIGITAL LICENSING
Additional rights permitting digital storage and delivery of programme material may also be available to U.K./ROI educational establishments, permitting the purchaser to create and store, either on to a computer hard drive, or on to a local area network storage device for a licensed period of time, a digital copy of a purchased programme for use within the limitations of the public performance rights granted. Please contact us for availability and cost.
'NO RISK' POLICY
All products are available to U.K./R.O.I. educational establishments on a 'free preview' for 10
days, and may be returned for full credit or exchange if for any reason you don't
feel that they fully meet your requirements. All we ask is that any products not required
are returned in an undamaged state, by pre-paid post, with, if possible, a brief note of
why you feel the material is unsuitable for your needs.
FORMATS
All programmes supplied on VHS videocassettes are provided in the PAL television
standard as used in the U.K. & R.O.I. The DVD format offered has identical content
to the VHS videocassette version and is purely a transfer of the programme on to
DVD-R without any additional chaptering or content unless otherwise specified.
If ordering from outside of the U.K. & R.O.I. please contact us to check
availability (some territory restrictions apply) and, if required, for prices
of other broadcast standards (NTSC and SECAM) or formats including Beta, U-Matic
where available.

Programme material is protected by copyright. It is a violation of copyright law to copy, duplicate, edit, or broadcast its content for any reason, or by any means, without prior written permission from the copyright holder or authorised distributor. If you should wish to perform any of these actions, please contact us immediately so that we can arrange the necessary clearance. Neither the copyright holder, or authorised distributor, makes any warranties, representations or undertakings about programme content (including, without limitation, the quality, accuracy, completeness or fitness for any particular purpose of such content). Material should be viewed by a trained professional prior to instructional use.

PAYMENT
If you are ordering on behalf of a local authority establishment or other similarly registered organisation in the U.K. or R.O.I., there is no need to send any payment with your order we will simply send an invoice once the goods have been despatched, for settlement under usual terms. Non-local authority establishments and overseas/business customers without prior credit facilities are asked to kindly provide payment at the time of ordering. Please contact us prior to ordering to obtain exact invoice values (pro-forma invoices can be provided if required). U.K.-based customers can pay via all usual methods, including cheque, bank transfer (BACS) and credit/debit/purchasing card.
Customers based outside of the U.K. can also pay by a number of methods, including bank draft, credit transfer and payment card, although please note that all payments should be made in pounds sterling. Additional charges may be applied for payments made in other currencies. Please contact us for an information sheet providing full details of payment procedures for non-U.K. customers.
Purchases by private customers are welcome, for which we would kindly ask for pre-payment by debit or credit card. Please contact us by telephone to place your order and arrange payment, etc.
